Larned - Millard K. Barrett, 78, died August 4, 2011 at his home, Larned.

He was born February 15, 1933 in Larned. The son of Hugh M. and Elizabeth Boyer Barrett; a lifetime area resident he was a Farmer.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, he was on the Apache Bowling league and was a Gem Dandy 4-H Leader, all of Larned.

On December 30, 1959 he married Patricia Schinstock at Kinsley. She survives.

Other survivors include; four sons, Kevin, Larned, David, Larned, Steven and wife Brenda; Garden City, Jeff, Garden City; a daughter, Jody Ary and husband Jeff, Lewis; a sister, Joanne Baldwin, Wichita; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; a daughter, Melissa; two brothers, Preston and Brian and three sisters; Martha Jane Koehn, Patricia Preedy and Mary Elizabeth Barrett.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock.
