Spearville – Nancy E. Staats, 64, passed away July 28, 2014, at her home in Spearville.
She was born September 14, 1949 in Dodge City, the daughter of James W. and Laura Corey Law. A longtime area resident, she was a CMA at Fort Dodge for over 30 years.
She was of the Christian faith.
On September 27, 1974, she married Kenneth P. Staats in Dodge City. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Timothy Staats and wife Kimberly, Spearville, Dustin Staats and companion McKenzie Smith, Offerle; three daughters, LaDonna Jones, Spearville, Michele Staats and companion Norman Mondragon, Dodge City, Megan Godwin and husband Chris, Wright; a sister, Barbara Son, Dodge City; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James Law Jr. and Melvin Law.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitations will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
