Larned – Neva B. Horner, 96, died February 5, 2006 at Larned Heath Care Center, Larned.
She was born December 27, 1909 at Larned, the daughter of Edgar Lee and Grace A. Thompson Bird. A lifetime Pawnee County resident she we a homemaker.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, Prayer Group Leader, Deacon, Lady Country Club, Larned Saddle Club, Volunteered at the Welcome Inn and was also a council member, all of Larned.
On October 9, 1929 she married William J. Horner at Hutchinson, Kansas. He died June 21, 2000.
Survivors include: a son William Lee, Larned; three daughters, Leona E. Skelton, Queensland, Australia, Neva Horner, Wickenburg, Arizona, Mary V. Ramsey, Sandy, Utah; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Larned Cemetery, with Mike Velder presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned.
