Pawnee Rock - Nicki Rae Roof, 65, passed away May 9, 2018 in Wichita, KS.

She was born June 11, 1952 in Kiowa County, Kansas, the daughter of Gilbert F. and Mary LaDonna Hedges Selsor.  A lifetime area resident, she was a retired registered nurse at the Larned State Hospital.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, enjoyed volunteering at Prairie Treasures Larned State Hospital Green House and loved working at the Budget Shop and Thrift Shop, all of Larned.

On July 8, 1972, she married Eric L. Roof in Larned, KS.  He survives.

Other survivors include: son, John Michael Roof, Gardner, KS; three brothers, John Selsor, Dallas, TX, Darrel Selsor, Wichita, KS, Forrest Selsor, Junction City, KS; two sisters, Sherry Nelson, Lincolnville, KS, Judy Watson, Rose Hill, KS; one grandson, Nolan Christopher Roof, Gardner, KS; Step-mothers, Debbie Selsor, Rosehill, KS and Helen Selsor, Lincolnville, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Christopher Scott Roof.

Vigil and Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, KS. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary.  Burial will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock, KS.
