Obituary

Larned  - Norma Lee Barker, 95, passed away September 13, 2025 at Country Living of Larned Memory Care.

She was born October 30, 1929 in Larned; the daughter of Comer Erwin and Maude Mae (Brown) Turpen.  A lifetime Larned resident, she was a Mother and a Homemaker.

Norma was a member of the First Christian Church in Larned.  She enjoyed knitting, crafts, Bingo, ceramics and was an avid animal lover and loved her pets.

On August 25, 1945 she married Fred Barker in San Anna, California.  He passed away September 29, 2001.

Survivors include; her daughter, Diana Lynn (Allen) Selfridge, Hanston; her daughter-in-law, Pamela Barker, Larned; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; a brother, Wiley James Reed; a sister, Lillabelle Hunt; her husband, Fred Barker and her two sons, Robert J. Barker and M. Duane Barker.

Memorial Graveside service will 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Larned Cemetery with Pastor David Spare presiding.
