Larned - Norma Lee Reed Crawford, 80, passed away February 11, 2006 at Country Place Senior Living, Larned.

She was born April 25, 1925, in Larned the daughter of Harvey Leon and Hazel Mae Couchman Reed. A lifetime Larned resident, she was a Mother and a Homemaker.

She graduated from Larned High School and attended Colorado Womens College, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri and Kansas University before becoming a Stewardess with American Airlines. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, D.A.R., Larned Country Club and the Garden Club all of Larned.

On November 15, 1946 she married Walter M. Crawford in Larned. He passed away April 22, 2005.

Survivors include; two sons, Walter Leon Crawford and wife Judy, Prescott, Arizona, Robert Reed Crawford, Larned; a daughter, Diane Crawford Ward and Husband Brian, Longmont, Colorado; a sister, JoAnn Cole, Hutchinson; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Dennis Scheibmeir presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
