Obituary

Jetmore – Norma Lee Walter, 83, died May 5, 2008 at the Golden Living Center, Valley, Nebraska.

She was born April 8, 1925 at Spearville, the daughter of John and Adella Schaffer Schawe. She worked at Taylor Drug Store and as an aid at the Hodgman County Health Center.

She belongs to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, American Legion Auxillary, Country Club and Bridge Club, all of Jetmore.

On October 4, 1948, she married Thomas M. Walter in Spearville. He died February 22, 2008.

Survivors include: three daughters, Judi St. Romain, Littleton, Colorado; Connie Driscoll, Jetmore; and Lisa Vehle, Omaha, Nebraska; a son, Mike L. Walter, Valley, Nebraska; two sisters, Vangie Rueb, Stratton, Colorado; Kathleen Stout, Centerton, Arkansas; 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Virgil Schawe, and a sister, Waneta McGee.

Vigil will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday with Deacon Dwaine Lampe presiding at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church, with Father Ted Stoecklein & Father Benjamin Dande presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
