Obituary

Rozel – Norma Cook Zook, 89, died December 27, 2005 at Country Place Senior Living, Larned.

She was born March 8, 1916 at Ash Valley, Kansas the daughter of Clyde C. and Rebecca Francis Cook. A lifetime Pawnee County resident she was a homemaker and business entrepreneur.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and EHU all of Rozel.

On June 8, 1938 she married Howard Wilson Zook at Larned. He died January 11, 2001.

Survivors include: Three sons, Howard Michael, John B., both of Rozel, Mark, Alamosa, Colorado; four daughters, Sharron Brown, Great Bend, Dolretta Hagerty, Larned, Carmen Franz, Warrensburg, Missouri; Zella Sanner, Spring Valley, California; a sister Wilma Creed, Pawnee Rock; fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Reva Reid.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Brett Hill presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Zook.
