Larned – Opal Agnes Weaver, 104, passed away December 28, 2017 at Country Living of Larned, Larned, Kansas.
She was born September 21, 1913 in Vale, Arkansas, the daughter of Earnest Franklin and Alice Maggie Belle Jane Couch Butler. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Great Bend. She was a 4-H sewing and cooking leader for many years while her six children went thru 4-H.
On June 30, 1937 she married Lilburn P. Weaver in Claflin. He passed away on May 10, 1989.
Survivors include: three daughters, Donna Campbell, Larned, KS, Oleta (Keith) Beckwith, Great Bend, KS, Carolyn (Terry) Holland, Baton Rouge, LA; son, A. Gene (Karen) Weaver, Wichita, KS; sister, Jewell Schlicht, Lenexa, KS; two son-in-laws, Max Manor, Wamego, KS and Gary Pillard, Marysville, KS; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Vicki Pillard and JaNelda Manor; one grandson, Scott Manor; one great grandson, Justin Huff; one great-great granddaughter, Ayden Manor and two son-in-laws, David Skelton and Marvin Campbell.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Claflin Cemetery, Claflin.
