Larned – Patricia J. Young, 82, passed away March 12, 2020 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born February 23, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to George and Cornelia Snyder Sallee.

A long-time area resident, she grew up in the Stafford County area. She was of the Christian faith and worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Auxiliary.

On June 16,2018 she married Lewis Young at Larned; he survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, D. Jo and husband Garry Stevens, Great Bend, Darci and husband Donnie Bell, Crossville, Tennessee; a son, David Detrich, Arizona; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel Detrich; a sister, Georgialee Ann Keeler; and ten half brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Reverend Jack Singer presiding. Visitation 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned; burial in Larned Cemetery, Larned.
