Patricia J. (Jody) Mitchell, 87, passed away March 24, 2025 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born June 19, 1937 in Larned, the daughter of Robert and Ellen Jones Olsen.

A lifetime area resident she was a meter maid for Larned police department and worked in housekeeping at Larned State Hospital. She previously attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Larned, enjoyed reading, planting flowers, gardening and loved making fried chicken.

Survivors include: son, David (Marsha Fox) Berry, Garfield; daughter, Tammy Hendry, Larned; three sisters, Vera Arthur, Wyoming, Laura Lee Dovel, Colorado, Lena Simmons, Medicine Lodge; four grandchildren, Daveonna Berry, Mary Lynn Berry, Daniel Crowe, zand six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Crowe and Alan Berry; three sisters, Stella Klein, Ila Hampton, Betty King and three brothers, Martin Olsen, George Olsen, Ole Dean Olsen.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary, Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery.
