Larned – Patsy Donnette Grimes, 83, passed away December 10, 2025 at the University of Kansas Medical Center Olathe Campus.

She was born March 14, 1942 in Woodward, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wilbur G. and Elsie M. Musselman Clapham. A longtime area resident she was a secretary and program assistant at the Farm Service Agency.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Larned.  She was past Matron of Honor of the Order of the Eastern Star.  After retirement she enjoyed traveling with M.D.  She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, volunteering at the thrift shop and playing Mahjong with her friends.

On October 15, 1961 she married Merle Dean "M.D." Grimes at Larned; he preceded her in death on April 24, 2019.

Survivors include: two sons, Darin Grimes, Spring Hill, Kansas and Trent (Glenda) Grimes, Lathrop, Missouri; one sister, Peggy Kelley, Birmingham, Alabama; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sisters, Phyllis Eilts and Elva Base.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
