Paul Dean Baier, 76, passed away June 15, 2020 at Hays Medical Center, Hays.

He was born March 14, 1944 in Great Bend, the son of Paul Henry and Velma (Sally) Marie Kilgore Baier.  A lifetime area resident, he was of the Catholic faith. He was a farmer and also worked for Ward Feed Yard and Larned State Hospital as an electrician. He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, former member of the Jaycees, and was a brass plaque holder at Zook Kuntree Klub.

On January 18, 1964, he married Connie L. Conard at Larned. She died June 8, 2007. On January 13, 2018 he married Gaile Fussell at Larned; she survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Vance (Polly) Baier, Larned; two daughters, Cheri (Peter) Phillips and Sonia Jo (Michael) Phillips, both of Wichita; two step daughters, Julie (Joe) Schartz, Larned, Stacie (Shane) Romine, Isabel; five grandchildren, Celia, Paul, Kiersten, Russel, August; seven step grandchildren: Kasi (RaeRae), Australia (Brad), Saber, Shanelle, Sy, Sevi, Shandi; and one step great grandchild, Keaton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis Baier.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday June 18, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.  Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
