Obituary

Paul Dean Wasko of Hanston, Kansas passed away November 26, 2019 at the Hodgeman County Health Center in Jetmore at 57 years old.

Paul was born July 16th 1962 in Wichita to parents Richard Dean and Sonja Marie (Fagen) Wasko. He graduated from Hanston High School in 1981. After high school, Paul attended Fort Hays State University and graduated in 1985.

On January 21, 1989, he was united in marriage to Judy Ravenstein at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jetmore, Kansas. Paul was openly proud of their daughters, Cassie, Rachel and Sara.

Paul was a lifetime area resident and spent his life farming and ranching. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Paul was a thirty plus year member of the Hodgeman County Farm Bureau where he served in many capacities at the local and state level. He was honored to be the receipt of the Farm Bureau Farm Family Of The Year Award in 2008. He thoroughly enjoyed helping with the Hodgeman County Fair Pedal Pull and looked forward to cheering on the kids every year.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Judy Wasko, Hanston; his parents, Richard and Sonja Wasko, Hanston; three daughters, Cassandra (Jake) Miller, Culbertson, NE, Rachel (Drew) Reida, Wichita, Sara (Zach Hendrixson) Wasko, Jetmore; brother, Kurt (Kim) Wasko, Winfield; two sisters, Ronna (George) Schmidt, Tribune, Donna (Chad) Kirk, Minneola; two grandchildren, Jaax Reida and Cora Miller as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Hanston. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the church with Father John Forkuoh presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Hanston Cemetery, Hanston.
