Spearville-Pauline Mathis Domer, 73, died in Hutchinson, Kansas on March 4, 2018. She was born on June 7, 1944 in Loxley, Alabama, to Marvin and Anne Lou (Johnson) Mathis. She was one of seven children.
Pauline married Ken Domer on February 28, 1986. They made their home in Spearville, Kansas for 29 years where Pauline worked as a para-professional in the USD 381 school district. The service she provided to the children and teachers brought her an abundance of joy. Pauline was a long-time member of the Spearville Federated Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, along with brothers Jerry and Kevin, and sisters Elaine and Geraldine. She is survived by husband Ken, her only child Pamela, two stepchildren Robyn Domer-Blede (Mike) and Julie Vannatter, two grandchildren Grant and Lauren, five step-grandchildren Lauren, Landon, Brady, Jayce, Kaedyn, two sisters Barbara Ragan(Randy) and Donna Darby(Eddie).
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Federated Church of Spearville with Kevin Salzman and Barney Korbelik officiating. The family will welcome visitors at the church starting at 1:00 p.m. A private family burial in the Silent Land Cemetery will occur at a later date. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at the Reno County Hospice, and countless other medical professionals that provided care over the past year.
