Obituary

Jetmore – Pauline V. Housman, 90, died June 13, 2010, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.

She was born October 15, 1919, in Burdett, Kansas, the daughter of Fred LeRoy and Nettie Margaret Hayward Smith. A lifelong Hodgeman county resident, she was a Psychiatric Nurse at Larned State Hospital.

She belonged to the United Methodist Church, Jetmore.

On February 20, 1938, she married James Housman in Dodge city. He died November 26, 1976.

Survivors include: two sons, LaVerne Housman and wife Linda, Terry Housman and wife Shari, both of Jetmore; a daughter, Jana Rima and husband Jerry, Shell Knob, Missouri; a sister, Maurine Frair, Marysville, Washington; two brothers, Gene Smith, Woodland Park, Colorado, Dean Smith, Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael and two sisters, Shirley Wasko and Faye Steele.

Funeral will be at 10a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Dr. Gary Winget and Dr. Dyton L. Owen presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m.Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
