Larned – Peter L. Diamond Jr. 68, passed away September 16, 2018 at The University of Kansas Health System Pawnee Valley Campus, Larned, KS.

He was born October 31, 1949 in Mobile, AL, the son of Peter L. and Betty Baldock Diamond Sr.  He was a SPTP Unit leader at Larned State Hospital, Larned, KS.

He was of the Christian faith and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On December 28, 1983 he married Robin Galbraith in Fort Polk, LA.  She survives.

Other survivors include: mother, Betty Diamond Frost, Clanton, AL; son, Paul (Holly) Diamond, Brunswick, GA; daughter, Breanna Diamond, Larned, KS; brother, Bobby (Martha) Diamond, Gainesville, FL; sister, Mary (Rick) Hurst, Clanton, AL and a grandson, Dylan Diamond.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter L. Diamond Sr. and a sister, Annie Stromquist Setzer.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Cameron Moore presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
