Great Bend – Phyllis D. Keeley, 79, died January 9, 2010 at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.
She was born June 17, 1930 in Great Bend, the daughter of Louis W. and Ermyl Ellen Ericks Trauer. A resident of Great Bend for 25 years, retiring to Buncombe Creek, Oklahoma, she work at banks in Albert, Larned, Topeka and Great Bend.
On June 8, 1949 she married John Patrick Keeley in Nashua, Iowa. He survives.
Other survivors include; a son, Ed Keeley and wife (Laurel), Wichita; daughter, Pam Keeley-Gassmann and husband,( Juerg), Buhler, Switzerland; a sister, Shirley McGinnis and husband (Richard), Hoisington and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; a young daughter; Sharon Coleen.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church, Larned, with the Brother Dick Ogle presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
