Larned – Rae Rae Munden, 59, passed away September 16, 2024 at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, KS.
She was born May 6, 1965 in Great Bend, KS, the daughter of Elmer Leroy and Emma Jo Lyons Munden. A lifetime area resident, she was the owner of D & M Marketing.
She was of the Christian faith and grew up attending First Missionary Baptist Church in St. John. Rae Rae was the 1996 Kansas State Arm Wrestling Champion and was an avid football fan of the Larned Indians and Kansas City Chiefs. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, collecting guns, grilling and loved entertaining her family and friends. She could build anything.
Survivors include: wife, Kasi Jo Schartz, Larned; son, Keaton Bartley, Larned; two sisters, Ronda (Roger) McAnulla, Great Bend, Rita (Sug) Stimatze, Macksville; brother, Jerry Munden, St. John; Emma Stimatze, Weston Stimatze, Shannon Purdy, Heather Banman, and other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncle, and extended family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, a sister, Robin Booth, and nephew Luke Stimatze.
Celebration of Rae Rae's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with Melissa Newton presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. The family requests casual attire.
