Rozel – Ramon C. Stephenson, 75, died October 1, 2008 at his home near Rozel.
He was born June 19, 1933 at Larned, the son of Orion (O.C.) and Gladys Shuss Stephenson. A lifetime resident of Pawnee County, he was a farmer.
He was a graduate of Larned High School Class of 1951, a member of the Rozel United Methodist Church, Rozel; Farmers Union, Conkling Township Board, Ft. Larned Historical Society, Pleasant Hill Community Center, and a former member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, both of Ash Valley.
On December 27, 1968 he married Loretta Tammen at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Tammy Sandersfeld and husband Dan, Warsaw, Missouri, Anita Freed, and husband Bob, Salem, Connecticut, Carol Stephenson, Rozel; three sisters, Virginia Naugle, Orem, Utah, Irene Bloomquist, Redding, California, Evelyn Byrum, Dodge City; and a grandchild, Ella Freed.
He was preceded in death by a twin sister, Ramona Paddock.
Funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with the Rev. Richard Zimmerman presiding. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 A. M. to 8: 00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. to 8: 00 P.M. Sunday with family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8 P.M.at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Larned City Cemetery.
