Jetmore - Ray L. Wilson, 87, passed away March 26, 2016 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita KS.
He was born December 1, 1928 on a farm in Hodgeman County, to Forest R. and Flossie F. Smith Wilson. A lifetime area resident of Jetmore, he was a Farmer-Rancher.
He was a member and Elder of the United Presbyterian Church of Jetmore, Farm Bureau, Soil Conservation, Special Ed School board member and a Jetmore School Board member for 16 years.
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953, in Jetmore, KS, he married Rowena Sorem. She passed away February 4, 2016.
Survivors include, three sons, Rodney Wilson and Ronald (Paula) Wilson, both of Jetmore and Ross (Cindi) Wilson, La Crosse. He also had twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers Harvey, Glen, Gerald, Ira Lee and Charles; two sisters, Elsie Hoagland and Vera Wilson.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore with Pastor Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery following the service with military graveside rights.
