Larned - Richard Braun, 72, passed away July 13, 2023 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born December 6, 1950 in Hays, Kansas, the son of Andrew E. and Matilda Dreher Braun.  A longtime area resident; he was an Oil Field Pumper.

He enjoyed farming with his father, and model cars.  He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #1751 in Victoria and a member of the American Legion Post #173 in Hays.

Survivors include; a son, Justin Braun; two brothers, James L. (Sharon) Braun, New Albany, Indiana and Andrew M. (Belinda) Braun, Victoria; a sister, Patricia Ann Baalman, Grinnell; and two grandsons Jace Braun and Jakob Braun.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial graveside service with military honors will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 1, 2023 at Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas, with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding.
