Obituary

Larned  -  Richard Dale Moore, 85, passed away February 16, 2020 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born September 27, 1934 in Larned; the son of Clarence Dove and Anna Heaton Moore.  A lifetime area resident; he worked in Security at the Larned State Hospital.

He was of the Christian faith.  He enjoyed being part of the Senior Companion program, playing cards and taking part in activities at the Senior Center in Rush Center, studying Genealogy and enjoyed animals.

On May 26, 1955 he married Doris Jean Stout.  She passed away August 15, 2010.

Survivors include; a daughter, Trish (Steve) Lippoldt, Rush Center; a son, Steven (Jeannie) Moore, Kent, Washington; a sister, Virginia Olson, Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren; Michael (Jeanette) Moore Jr., Larned, Shannon Wright, Punta Gorda, Florida, Crystal Moore – Slaughter, Houston, Texas, Brandon (Sydney) Chandler, La Crosse; one step granddaughter, Sammy (Jeff) Werner, Dodge City; nine great grandchildren, Shania (Yunior) Kennon, Larned, Destiney Burger, Larned, Desiree Slaughter, Houston, Texas, Demarcus Slaughter, Houston, Texas, Taylor Moore, Larned, Morgan Moore, Larned, Adalie Chandler, Ewa Beach Hawaii, Logan Moore, Larned and James Sowers III, Larned; four step great grandchildren, Trenton Lippoldt, Zachary Cressler, Bradley Werner, Kyler Werner, all of Dodge City; three great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by; a son, Michael Moore Sr., his parents; two brothers, William and Paul and a grandson, Mark Eric Wright.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Damon Bradley presiding.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 Wednesday at Beckwith mortuary.  Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
