Obituary

Hanston – Richard Glenn Simcox, 87, passed away November 22, 2020 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born April 5, 1933 in Alamosa, CO., the son of Harry Rhea and Elva Leon Henson Simcox.

A longtime area resident, he was a retired Sheriff for Colorado and a retired minister.  He served in the United States Army and United States Air Force.

He was a member of the Hanston Baptist Church and the VFW, Hanston.

On June 21, 1954 he married Beulah Irene Johnson in Dallas, TX. She survives.

Other survivors include: son, David (Obdulia) Simcox, DeSoto, TX; two daughters, Candace  (Michael) Antonelli, Hanston, Constance SanMiguel, Orange, TX; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel M. Simcox.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Richard Simcox Memorial Fund in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
