Larned – Rick L. Best, 60, passed away May 10, 2014 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina.
He was born September 17, 1953 at Larned, the son of Robert and Virginia Best. A lifetime area resident, he was a MHDD at the Larned State Hospital, Larned.
He was of the Christian faith.
On June 16, 1973, he married Linda Cooper at Burdett. She survives.
Other survivors include: his parents; two daughters, Tiffany Eaves and husband Matt, Basehor and Courtney Smith and husband Bart, Topeka; a brother, Mike Best, Lawrence; a sister, Tracey Reynolds, Larned; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Cecilia (CC) Eaves.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
Memorials may be sent to the Pawnee County 4-H in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.
