Larned - Rick E. Perez, 47, died February 3, 2011 Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

He was born November 26, 1963 in Larned the son of Janero and Mickey Gonzales Perez. A lifetime area resident he was a Corrections Counselor 1 at the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Larned, the Prince of Peace Committee and attended St. Rose Catholic Church both of Great Bend.

Survivors include; his mother of Larned, a daughter Sydney Anne Perez, Great Bend, two brothers, Tim Perez and Troy Perez both of Larned and a sister, Gina Perez, Larned, nephews; Adam Perez and Bryce Perez, a niece; Deavin Perez, two great-nephews; Cayden Perez and Hagen Kennon and Heather Weatherman and her children of Great Bend.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Vigil Service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Friends may sign the register from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
