Larned - Rob Wade Connelly of Larned passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
He was born February 2, 1970 in Atwood, Rawlins County, Kansas, to Roy Williams "Bill" Connelly and Dianne (Davis) Connelly. He attended elementary school in Atwood. His family moved to Larned in 1975. He graduated from Larned High School in 1988 and went on to pursue his education at WITC in Wichita, Kansas, where he received certification as a machinist in 1990.
Rob returned to Larned to make his home. He was a Nondenominational Christian and a devoted child of God, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. God came first in Rob's life, after which he served his family, friends and community. He enjoyed fellowship, rejoicing with his church family, music of any kind, woodworking/carpentry, gardening, spending time with family, and visiting neighbors and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Roy Williams Connelly; grandparents, Isom and Elizabeth Connelly; and Warren and Enid Davis.
Survivors include his mother, Dianne Davis Connelly of Larned; brother, Roy Warren Connelly and wife Katherine of Wichita, Kansas; two nieces, Valerie Marie Connelly and Victoria Dianne Connelly of Wichita, Kansas; Uncle, Lynn C. Davis and wife Judi of Ogallala, Nebraska; Aunt, Karen K. Smith and husband Donald L. Smith of Aurora, Colorado; numerous cousins, and a community of friends and neighbors.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Gary Thomson, Brad Stuefen and Jon MacDonald presiding. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
