Larned – Robert "Bobby" Doyle Foster, 61, died September 24, 2008 at his home in Larned.

He was born March 9, 1947 at Great Bend, Kansas the son of Doyle Copper and Maxine Brannan Foster. A lifetime resident of Pawnee County and he was a Juvenile Corrections Officer at the Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility, Larned.

He was a huge KSU fan, loved golfing, enjoyed working on the farm and loved his family very dearly. The high light of his life were his grandchildren Malachi Foster and Phoebe Davis. This year was one of the best years of his life. During this year, Pheobe turned 2, Malachi turned 1, there is another grandchild on the way and for once things went well at harvest. His mother was one of his closest friends and his little dog Max was his constant companion.

Survivors include: his mother, Maxine, Larned; a son, David Robert Foster and his wife Lynette; a daughter, Jami Foster Davis, and her husband Travis, all of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Kathleen Marie Foster, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Phoebe Marie Davis, Malachi David Foster; and a future baby Davis.

He was preceded in death by his father Doyle C. Foster.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Larned, with Rev. Bill Fritzgerrel presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Inurnment will be at a later date.
