Obituary

Robert I. Fraser, 95, passed away November 23, 2019 at Edwards County Hospital, Kinsley, KS.

He was born February 20, 1924 in Hutchinson, the son of Franklin Andrew and Wella Irene Cox Fraser.  A longtime area resident, he was an Apartment Manager.  He served in the United States Army during World War II and Korea.

He was of the Christian faith.  He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and the American Bowling Association.

On April 11, 1948, he married Norma Eileen Sayre in Larned, KS.  She died July 27, 2001.

Survivors include: children, Cindy (Drew) Smith, Longview, Washington, Terie (Jerry) Stapleton, Belpre, Mark Fraser, Spring, Texas, Debbie (Jim) Brooks, Larned;  grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kristi Bond – Sophie and Esmae Bond, Leawood; Kevin (Pam) Stapleton- Kaden, Koryn, Conner Stapleton, and Abby Towery, Baldwin City; Kara (Sean) Kenyon – Clayton and Katie Dobyns, Sophia and Isabella Kenyon, Belpre; Daniel Fertig - Bryntlie Lawless and Ryan Miller, Kinsley; Brian Smith, Berkeley, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma Fraser; two brothers, Edward Fraser, and Franklin (Junior) Fraser; and a sister in law, Wilma Fraser.

Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Larned Cemetery, Larned, with military graveside rites and Pastor Avery Rutledge presiding. Visitation 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
