Robert P. Grandy's Obituary
Rozel - Robert P. Grandy, 87, died May 16, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born August 12, 1921 in Garfield, the son of Lee and Isabelle Story Grandy. A lifetime area resident he was a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rozel, the Masonic Lodge, Larned, and was a Garfield school board member. He was an avid KU and sports fan. He attended Garfield Schools and graduated from Garfield High School.
On September 28, 1941 he married Grace Olive Pfenninger. She survives.
Other survivors include; two sons, Gary and wife Faye, Rozel, Darrell and wife Brenda, Hooker, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; three brothers; Harold, Oscar, Charles and one grandchild, Mark Gregory Grandy.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Pastor Rich Zimmerman presiding. Friends may sign the register from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary. The casket will be closed. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield.
