Jetmore - Robert E. Halling, 84, died October 8, 2013 at Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell Kansas.

He was born March 19, 1929, at Hanston, Kansas the son of Albert John and Elizabeth Sadie Hubin Halling. He had a Water Well Service, He also worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Jetmore.

He was a Lifetime area resident, he was member of the United Methodist Church, and the VFW both of Hanston, the American Legion of Jetmore. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He married Lois Ann. Rumford, July 12, 1953 at Ness City, and she died September 13, 2004.

Survivors include: three sons, Alan and wife Charlene Halling, Spearville; Kevin, and Lane Halling, Hanston; two daughters, Vicki and husband Stanley Yeager Columbia, SC.; Peggy Conine, and husband Ron Cimarron; 14 grandchildren and17 Great- Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Larry, Harold, Frank, Alvin. three sisters Ella Cooksey, Mable Howe and Freda Yust.

Funeral will be at the United Methodist Church, Hanston, at 10:00 am Saturday with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding, friends may call from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday and Friday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore, Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, with Military Graveside Rites.
