He was born November 27, 1954, at Denver, Colorado., the son of Russell and Fern Schreiber Haug . A longtime area resident, he was the Jetmore High School Teacher, Coach and Principal for USD 227.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a Church Trustee, both of Jetmore, and K.I.A.A.A.

On July 12, 1980, he married Karen Mohn, at Durham, Ks., she survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Russell and wife Kara, Park City, Ryan and wife Risa, Wichita; one daughter, Tiffany Haug, of the home; two brothers, Dale and wife Valda Haug, Bennington, Ks; Butch and wife Rondy Haug, Berryton, Ks.: two sisters, Alice and husband Bill Weigle, Ness City, Wilma and husband Terry Pfannenstiel, Goodland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the Jetmore High School Gymnasium, with Pastors Jason Mohn and Marvin Ewertt presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
