Robert Alan Sallee, 84, passed away July 21, 2024 at his home in Larned.

He was born June 25, 1940 in Great Bend, the son of Marvin and Ange Wright Sallee.

A lifetime area resident, he was a retired funeral director at Beckwith Mortuary. He was a Member of Larned United Methodist Church, Wet/Dry Routes Chapter, Santa Fe Model Railroad Association, and was a Mason. He was an RC airplane enthusiast and enjoyed airplane simulators. He was very musically talented and could play anything, his favorites being piano and organ.

On August 21, 1960 he married Sherrill D. Johnson at Larned; she survives.

Other survivors include: two children, David A. (Vivian) Sallee, Larned, Lisa D. (Marvin Monaghan) Holt, Pratt; three grandchildren, Christopher (Hannah) Glass, Great Bend, Marcus (Shawna) Glass, Woodburn, Oregon, Johnathan Sallee, Larned; four great grandchildren, Kazlynn, Kameron, Adalynn, and Olive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dean Sallee.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Randy Kuhn presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 4-6 p.m. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
