He was born July 30, 1926 in Pawnee County, Kansas, the son of Walter V. and Ruth Lewis Twitchell. He was a Lifetime Pawnee County resident; he was a farmer, gunsmith and creative wood worker. He was a member of the Our Fathers House, Larned and Celebration Community Church, Hays. He was a WWII Veteran in the U.S. Navy.

On August 22, 1947 he married Betty Lou Millhouse at Ottawa, Kansas, She survives.

Other Survivors include: two daughters, Sherryl D. Lemuz, and husband Isaac, Rebecca A. Hagerman, and husband, Gene, all of Larned; six grandchildren, Anthony Lemuz, Paul Lemuz, Jack Lemuz, Monica Hoffman, Tyson Hagerman, and Trent Hagerman; and 10 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Robert J. Twitchell, two brothers, Jack, Bill and a sister Drorothy Pultz.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Kyle Ermoian presiding. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
