Burdett, KS - Roger Dale Chrest, 62, passed away July 23, 2018, at his home, Burdett.

He was born June 14, 1956 in Lawrence, Kansas; the son of Richard Dale and Janice Mae Armstrong Chrest.  Moving from the Wamego area in 1995 to Burdett; he was a farmer, small engine repairman, and an oil well driller.

He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church; was in the United States Marine Corps, where he was an expert marksman and rifle range coach; enjoyed hunting, going to the lake, boat racing and loved his grandchildren.

On Oct 30, 1974, he married Patricia L. Ebert in Flush, KS.  She survives and they later divorced.

Survivors include; his mother, Janice Mae Chrest, Wamego; a son, Brian Chrest, Westmoreland; four daughters, Jana (Tracy) Hands, Burdett, Tricia (Shane) Ryan, Rozel, Stacy Hefley, Wamego and Hallie (Sam) Woods, Park City; three brothers, Ronnie (Charlotte) Chrest, Great Bend, Rusty (Laura) Chrest, Silt, Colorado and Richie (Joni) Chrest, Wamego; a sister, Renee (Bobby) Mathos, Wamego and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; his father, Richard Dale Chrest.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Doug Ellison presiding.  Friends may sign the register 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.  Inurnment with military graveside rites will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Wamego City Cemetery, Wamego, Kansas.
