Pawnee Rock – Rose Mary (Rosie) Unruh, 76, passed away April 27, 2019 at Medicalodges Great Bend, Great Bend, KS.

She was born August 26, 1942 in Larned, KS, the daughter of Lawrence Searcy and Mary Margaret Zecha Salmans.  A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship and Tops, all of Pawnee Rock, KS.

On April 28, 1962, she married James R. Unruh in the First Christian Church, Larned, KS.  He died June 16, 2018.

Survivors include: five children, Thomas, Great Bend, KS, Teresa (Blair) McPherson, Hays, KS, Larry, Great Bend, KS, Gary (Adria), Great Bend, KS, and Katie (John) Kessler,  Peyton, CO; three brothers, Leonard Salmans, Olathe, KS, James Salmans, Elkhorn, NE, Raymond Salmans, Claremore, OK; two sisters, Elizabeth Winkler, Tempe, AZ,, Beverly Rosso, Palm Springs, CA; nine grandchildren, Hope, Calvin, Emily, Tanisha, Regan, Kaylee, Sydney, Conner and Chase and two great grandchildren, Lawson and Hannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Salmans and a daughter-in-law, Heather Unruh.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Wade Russell presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary with family present from 6-8 p.m.  Burial will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock, KS.
