Jetmore – Rudolph (Rudy) C. Nuss, 96, died August 27, 2006 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, Kansas.

He was born December 30, 1909 in Hoisington, the son of Fred and Charlotta Maier Nuss. A lifetime area resident. He was a realtor, broker and farmer.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, where he served on many boards and activities. He also was a member of the Jetmore Lions Club, a Director for the Farmer State Bank, Masonic Lodge, Shriners of Wichita, a former board member of the Grade School, past chairman of the Democratic Committee, former board Member and past President of the Senior Citizens.

On May 11, 1935 he married Fayne Lovenia Hubbell at Jetmore. She died August 8, 1982. On December 19, 1985 he married Dale Hermon at Jetmore. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jarrell Nuss and wife Eleanor, Jetmore, Monty Nuss and wife Carole, Littleton, Colorado, two step-sons Skyler Hays and wife Kelly, Jetmore, Randy Slagle and wife Barb, Ness City, a step-daughter, Adree Jones and Husband Tony, Jetmore, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Edwin, Solomon, Benjamin, Herbert, Albert, and a sister, Alma Kindsvater.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore with the Reverend Mitch Reece presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m Tuesday, at the Beckwith Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
