Larned – Ruth Ann Martin, 93, passed away June 23, 2026 at Country Living of Larned.

She was born January 10, 1933 in Macksville, the daughter of Floyd Louis and Esther Estelle Frazee Henderson.

A lifetime area resident she was a homemaker and CNA. She was a member of the Father’s House, Larned, Kansas, the Zook EHU, was a senior companion and 4-H Club Leader. She taught Sunday school, loved raising her children, farming, gardening, nursing, and caring for people.

On August 27, 1950 she married Donald C. Martin at Garden City; he survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Vicky (Darrell) Cole, Gordonville, Texas, Joan Moody, Woodland Park, Colorado; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Dean Martin; two daughters, Susan “Susie” Barnes, Jane DeVore; and sister, Louise Hands.

Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Zook, Kansas at a later date.
