Ruth V. Wells, 91 died July 21, 2011 at Via Christi St. Joseph Campus in Wichita.
She was born October 28, 1919 in Kinsley, Kansas the daughter of Harry and Gladys Jones Husted. A longtime resident of Larned, she had been employed by Doerr's Mercantile and the Larned State Hospital.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Larned.
On June 5, 1938 she married Luther "Dutch" Wells at Kinsley. He passed away in May 12, 1989.
Survivors include; daughter Jacquelyn Mohler and husband Quentin, Derby, son, Ronald Wells and wife Karen, Olathe, five grandchildren; Jerry Wells and wife Anica, Salinas, CA, Lori Gillespie and husband Jeff, Derby, James Wells and wife Crystal, Hays, Jennifer Wells Vogel, Overland Park, Lisa Woolsey and husband Mike, Mulvane, and Nine Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; her husband Dutch, brother, Harold Husted and sister, Pauline Cooper.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Pastor Irving Simon presiding. Visitation will be from 2p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the St. Jude's Hospital or the First United Methodist Church of Larned, both in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
