Larned - Ryan Patrick McGinness, 32, died July 27, 2012 at Hays.
He was born February 1, 1980 in Great Bend, the son of James J. Jr. and Sharon Elaine Lloyd May McGinness. A lifetime area resident he was a Rig Operator for Professional Pulling at Hays.
He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the SRCA of Great Bend, NHRA and also has a competition license to race motorcycles.
Survivors include; his parents of Larned, a brother; Tim McGinness and wife Melissa, a sister; Michele Pfortmiller and husband Michael, two nieces, two nephews, all of Larned, his special friend; Kristin Boker, Great Bend, a best friend; Bill Keenan, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Warren Stecklein and Father Robert Schremmer presiding. Vigil service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Friends may call Noon to 8:00pm monday 9:00am to 7:00pm tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
