Sammy Ray Ryan, 67, passed away September 12, 2025 at his home, Larned.

He was born April 24, 1958 in Clay Center, Kansas; the son of Everett L. and Dixie May Halbedel Ryan.  A longtime area resident; he was an HVAC Tech for Comfort Systems Inc. in Larned.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting pheasant and quail, watching westerns and listening to rock music.  He loved cooking, cooked at the Harvest Inn, and cooked for the Fort Larned Lions Club, was a member of the Ft Larned Arms Association and the Fort Larned Lions Club, both of Larned.

On April 4, 1983 he married Betty Clawson in Larned, Kansas.  She survives.

Other survivors include; two sons, Richard (Tracy) Stonebarger, Topeka, Anthony (Aileen) Ryan, Larned; four daughters, Marylynn Clawson, Salina, Debra Ryan, Larned, Cheryl Ryan, Larned and Lisa (Colten) Tipton, Hutchinson.  Twelve grandchildren, Lindsay Clawson, Sydney Stonebarger, Preston Stonebarger, Clayton Stonebarger, Brianna Storment, Jordan Gross, Antonia Ryan, Dylan Reed, Adaline Reed, Hunter Cody, Bailee Ryan-Stevens and Sophia Tipton and three great grandchildren, Peyton, Ryleigh and Bella.

He was preceded in death by; his parents, two brothers, Dennis Ryan and Harvey Ryan and a great grandson, Dakota Clawson.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Bo Rouse presiding.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 with family present from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
