Jetmore – Sandra (Sandy) Kay Betz, 64, died July 3, 2009 at her home in Jetmore. She was born November 30, 1944, in Ness City, the daughter of George & Marie Scott Knotts. On May 28, 1962, Sandy married Donnie Betz in Miami, Oklahoma. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ness City and a longtime resident of Jetmore.

Sandy loved her children, grandchildren, & day care kids. She was a day care provider for 37 years. "Grandma", as she was called by her day care kids, touched the lives of many children and their parents in this community. Sandy always had children around her including those reminiscing about their days at Grandma's & Grandpa's Day Care. Sandy served the community in many capacities. Over most of her life, her talents as an accomplished seamstress were appreciated by many. For the past 10 years, she was captain for the Grandma's & Grandpa's Day Care Team at the Ness County Relay for Life. She also spent many nights attending Jetmore sporting events as a custodian & avid supporter of her grandchildren. Every Christmas her home was a shining light in the community as her elaborate and meticulously decorated trees will forever be remembered. Sandy's lighthearted and caring presence will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: husband, Donnie of Jetmore; two daughters, Nancy White, husband Rick, & granddaughter Megan of Bakersfield, CA and Cherie Pfannenstiel, husband Steve, & two grandsons Parker & Austin of Jetmore; two sons, Shane Betz, wife Laura, & granddaughter Ashlyn of Olathe, KS and Tate Betz of Olathe, KS; two sisters, Sabra Clarke of Ness City and Linda LaPlante of Littleton, CO; one brother, Alan Knotts of Ness City; and many nieces and nephews.
