Jetmore – Sandra L. Smith, 86, passed away February 12, 2026 at Hodgeman County Health Center in Jetmore.

She was born August, 27, 1939 in Hodgeman County, the daughter of Leland Merle and Gladys Irene Springer Crouse. A lifetime area resident, she worked at Taylor's Drug Store, the Court House, and Country Kurls as a beautician.

She was an active member of United Presbyterian Church, helping with dinners, Christmas boxes, events, and youth group. Being a foster parent of eight, she always enjoyed helping all, but was also ready to have fun with her great sense of humor. Sandra enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, diamond art, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, being a scout leader, writing poems, and journaling.

On June 12, 1958, she married Charlie M. Smith in Jetmore. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2009.

Survivors include: three children, Mike (Twila) Smith of Olathe, Shari (Terry) Housman of Jetmore, and Robin Smith of Haslett, Michigan; sister, Shirley Woods of Kalvesta; five grandchildren, Larae (Todd) Burks of Florida, Colby (Jared) Smith-Ayres of Independence, Missouri, Tarin Housman of Jetmore, Tisila DuJardin of North Kansas City, Missouri, Chantal DuJardin of Olathe; six great grandchildren, Connor Housman, Trace Burks, Charlie Ayres, Mason Ayres, Trinity DuJardin, and Cyrus Smith and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2026 at United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore with Pastor Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
