Larned  - Sandra Sue Viegra, 81, passed away July 31, 2024 at her home in Larned.

She was born July 7, 1943 in Larned; the daughter of Edward and Alma Buzard Kimmel.  A lifetime area resident she was a woman of many talents and was a cook.

She married Joseph Viegra in July of 1960 in Larned and they were married for 64 years; he survives

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Larned and was a past member of the Larned Saddle Club.  She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling and loved horses, cooking and spending time with her family.

Other survivors include; her children, Timothy (Sonya) Viegra, Great Bend, Danny Viegra, Larned, Mark (Kathy) Viegra, Larned, Jerry (Lisa) Viegra, Larned and John Viegra, Oxford; fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, her dog Scout and her caregivers, Janice Durler, Travis Bradford and Kathy Brown.

She was preceded in death by her three siblings, Max, Ed and Juanita.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 9th at the Church of Christ, Larned with James Underwood presiding.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.  Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
