Larned – Sarah Lucile Plowman, 93, died July 23, 2009 at her home in Larned.
She was born March 28, 1916 at Carlisle, Arkansas, the daughter of John T. and Bertha E. Nettleton Oldham. Living in Larned since 1990 moving from Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Larned.
She married C. Doran Plowman on March 12, 1940 at Syracuse, Kansas. He died July 30, 1997.
Survivors: included, three sons George Talbert Plowman, Hays; Charles Lee Plowman, Lawton, Oklahoma; Guy Dean Plowman, Muskogee, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ellen Barnes Beaver Dam, Kentucky; Marie Hofmeister, Lamar, Colorado; one brother-in-law Sammie Plowman, Wiley, Colorado; 12 grandchildren, numerous, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Jackson, Esther Oldham, Estill Oldham, one brother, Talbert Oldham.
Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with James Underwood presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Graveside Service will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Colorado on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M.
