Sarah Wilson Wells, 72, of Germantown, TN passed away June 27 after a long battle with cancer. Sarah graduated from Larned High School in 1963 and attended college at the University of Oklahoma. Early in her life she was interested in fashion and worked in Kansas City, MO and Los Angeles, CA. On 7-1-71 Sarah married George Wells who grew up near Rozel and was employed by the J.I. Case Company.

Over the years Sarah and George lived in Enid, OK; Denver, CO; Pleasanton, CA; Kansas City, KS; Great Bend, KS; Spokane, WA; Roseville, CA; and Germantown, TN. As a corporate wife, her interior decorating skills were evident in the beautiful homes in each location. When her twin sons were born in California in 1974 she knew she had found her true calling in life. The well being of her family was always of primary importance. As a true animal lover, a series of pedigreed dogs and feral cats benefited from her nurturing.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Other interests included needlework, bridge club, and puzzles of all kinds. Gardening was also a favorite, especially when someone else was doing the digging. She is survived by her husband of 46 years George Wells; son Dr. Gregory Wells, daughter-in-law Stephanie Wells, and grandson Alexander Jason (A.J.) of Dothan, AL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Frances Woelk of Rozel, KS; and brother Don Wilson of New York City, NY.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Ethel Wilson of Larned, KS; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Dallas and Muriel Wells of Larned, KS; and her son Grant Wilson Wells who will be interred next to her in the Larned Cemetery. Memorial services for both Sarah and her son Grant will be August 5th at 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church in Larned.
