Shirley A. Atteberry, 87, passed away August 19, 2021 at Country Living of Larned.

She was born May 1, 1934 in Great Bend, the daughter of Harry and Mathilda Nordman Oetken.

A lifetime area resident, she was an office assistant for Federal Land Bank. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Larned, Larned Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at the food pantry.

On November 16, 1954 she married Arlis A. Atteberry at Peace Lutheran Church, Albert; he survives.

Other survivors include: daughter, Kim (Greg) Smith, Larned; son, Matt (Pam) Atteberry, Parsons; sister, Gloria Pence, Santanta; brother, LaVerne (Nancy) Oetken, Albert; four grandchildren, Blake (Mallory) Mathis, Parsons, Jarod Smith, Basehor, Talia Smith, Larned, Ariel Smith, Kansas City Missouri; and three great grandchildren, Sloane Mathis, Boden Mathis, and Logan Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at Larned Cemetery, Larned, with Rita Gagelman presiding. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
