Shirley Ruth Leslie, 88, passed away October 20, 2022 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

She was born December 21, 1933 in Larned, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Ruth Row Walker.

Larned resident, she worked at the Larned State Hospital in the Reimbursement Office. She was a member of Larned United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and D.A.R. She enjoyed volunteering at the UMW Budget Shop, traveling, golfing, fishing and reading.

On August 12, 1972 she married Dean Leslie in Larned; he survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Debra (Tom) Snyder, Larned, Patti (Don) Smithson, Arlington, Texas, Pam Almquist, Fort Worth, Texas; step son, Kevin (Cathy Jo) Leslie, Rock River, Wyoming; step daughter, Mary (Kevin) Yurchak, Melbourne Beach, Florida, Brenda (Richard)Winn, Mexico, Missouri; two brothers, Robert (Bob) Walker and William (Bill) Walker, Larned; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents and a brother Duane Walker.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Tricia North presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2022 with family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
