Obituary

Jetmore – Shirley May Pfaff, 81, passed away March 17, 2021 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

She was born September 5, 1939 in Jetmore, the daughter of Raleigh and Nola Gladys Burdue Scothorn.  A lifetime area resident, she was a farm wife/homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Jetmore and the Moose Club, Dodge City.

On June 16, 1956, she married Robert "Bob" G. Pfaff in Jetmore.  He passed away August 3, 2006.

Survivors include: son, Blaine (Nikki) Pfaff, Plainville, KS; two daughters, Carol (Alan) Thomas, Hugoton, KS, Debbie (Marty) Wright, Council Grove, KS; two brothers, Dallas Scothorn, Burlington, KS, Leon (Raleigh) Scothorn, Pampa, TX; two sisters, Sharon Rudzik and Janice Scothorn, both of Jetmore; ten grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Delane Pfaff; two brothers, Lloyd and Randy Scothorn; sister, Dolores Craghead; granddaughter, Lynn Dee (Pfaff) Easterberg and grandson, Christopher Patrick.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore with Joe and Carolyn Tarman presiding.  Service will be viewable via Facebook live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary .  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.

Memorials may be given to Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
