Rozel  - Sophia May Bley, 99, passed away April 4, 2019, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

She was born April 9, 1919 in Rozel, the daughter of Louis O. and Clara Raye (Howell) Bley.   She was an elementary school teacher for 38 years in various school districts in Kansas with the last 18 of those years spent in Wichita.

Sophia was a member of the N.E.A., Fort Larned Belles, Walnut Unit FCE, and the Tertulia Club.

Survivors include; niece, Leola Eitel, Denver, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by; her parents and a sister, Nellie K. Eitel.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Robert Sallee presiding. Inurnment will follow in the Rozel Cemetery, Rozel, Kansas.
